The word Kirat is not the name of any caste, geography, blood, facce, shape or time. The word Kirat is civilization, culture, lifestyle, thought, norms and value. The word Kirat is the name of civilization or thought developed in certain period. It's the name of philosophy. The people who claim themselves to be Kirat are those ethnic group or society who develop thought and lifestyle and keep on following them.

If we see the history, Kirat thought or philosophy is one of the ancient philosophy. It is believed by the historians that the one who follow this philosophy, civilization or thought are also ancient. According to the popular historian the word KIRAT evolved from Kirayat word of mowawite language, that came from meditarian which means boundary or town ( Chemjong - The history and culture of Kirat people ) Similarly, Chemjong in his book named HISTORY OF KIRAT LITERATURE and in Sir Jhon Hammerton ancient history it's been said that there is relation between Kirat civilization and ancient Babylon and Mesopotamia. From this, we can figure out that human came out of jungle and established town in mediterian sea area where they developed human civilization from their experience and feeling. From there, a community in search of a new land went towards Himalayan and established a village. And they developed Kirat philosophy based on their knowledge, feeling.

The word Kirat can also be found in ancient book of Hindu religion. From this, it is clarified that before the entry of Aryans in subcontinent , Kirat had already cfjfb . Even in the history of Nepal , they ruled Kathamandu valley making it a center till 32 k':tf . Even today except Aryans dwelling in Nepal all Indigenous people are Kirat as directed by learned person -ljlzi6 ljåfg _. But even though the word Kirat is used only in eastern region of Nepal and only Limbu, Rai, Yakhha and Sunuwar accept themselves to be Kirat.

So, only Limbu, Rai, Yakhha and Sunuwar accept themselves to be Kirat in present situation. The ruler who ruled Nepal for 32 k':tf are our ancestors and not only history but their understanding & philosophical point of view is responsible for the belief that there is relation between world's ancient civilization. The reason behind the introduction of Kirat territory is their Kirat point of view towards experience, thinking and universe for thousands of years.
